Te Whakatōhea, Te Arawa, Ngāti Maniapoto, Ngapuhi
Fallyn was raised in the thermal wonderland of Rotorua, and has been involved in Kaupapa Māori in varying capacities from completing mail drops, to leading tauira Māori as Te Roopu Māori President at The University of Otago.
Her education background was heavily focused on Leadership, Health and Te Ao Māori. Graduating with Science and Commerce Undergraduate Degrees, and a Masters in Indigenous Studies in 2012.
Varying leadership roles has sculpted Fallyn into a staunch, fervent advocate of whānau, tiriti centric Kaupapa, including Te Pāti Māori since it’s inception in 2004. She has been the Chair of the Rotorua Branch of Te Pāti Māori, is the current Chair of the Waiāriki Electorate, and is priledged to be surrounded by unapologetic and experiences leaders in the National Executive of Te Pāti Māori.
Fashioning of such leadership is never possible without mentors, many of which Fallyn attributes her skills and attributes to contest what’s right for te iwi Māori. She is currently part of the leadership team at Te Arawa Whānau Ora inspiring Whānau to achieve aspirational excellence.
