Why it matters

Our whenua, awa, moana, marae, wāhi tapu, mahinga kai and whakapapa are not resources to be exploited. They are our inheritance, our responsibility, and our future. Climate justice is about protecting our right to live safely, affordably, and sovereign on our own whenua.
