Waiariki
Tēnā koutou katoa, It has been one of the greatest honours of my life to serve Waiariki. He uri ahau nō ngā kārangaranga hapū o te Waiariki. Mai ngā kuri a whārei ki Tihirau, mai Maketū ki Tongariro. I am a pāpā, Ringatū Minister, kaihaka, kaiako, marae lawn mower and your MP since 2020. I believe leadership means showing up, standing alongside our people and never forgetting who sent you.
Over the past six years I have fought for Waiariki in Parliament and on the ground. I have advocated for our kura, Whakatāne maternity services, homeless whānau in Rotorua, warm and safe housing, whānau navigating government agencies, Māori wards and justice for whānau affected by unfair policing. I have helped mobilise thousands against attacks on Te Tiriti and championed removing GST from kai.
Waiariki is Māori infrastructure country. We have the reo, marae, kura, kōhanga, iwi institutions, businesses, whenua and natural resources. Generations before us built that strength. Our job now is to unleash it.
My priorities are easing the cost of living, strengthening Māori enterprise and Toi Māori, protecting our whenua and wai, and advancing Māori energy sovereignty.
Thank you Waiariki for your unwavering belief in Te Pāti Māori. I am asking for your candidate vote so together we can keep building a future determined by us, for our mokopuna.
